'One week at a time': Moorhead not getting complacent heading into playoff run — Wahpeton Schools news

MOORHEAD — The Moorhead football team lived up to its expectations in the regular season, finishing 8-0 and scoring 40-plus points in every contest with its star-studded offense. But with the Minnesota Class 6A playoffs on the horizon, the Spuds know that if they don t continue to execute, their dream season can come to an abrupt end in the blink of an eye. None of (the regular season) really matters now, we re all 0-0, Moorhead quarterback Jett Feeney said. Going into the playoffs, we re going to have to go one week at a time. The target rests on Moorhead s back after earning one of the 32-team bracket s four No. 1 seeds. The Spuds will welcome No. 8 Coon Rapids (4-4) to Jim Gotta Stadium for a Class 6A first-round game at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30. This year s playoff run looks slightly different for Moorhead. Last season, the Spuds entered the playoffs as a No. 6 seed after finishing the regular season 4-4. They played every game on the road or at a neutral site
